Implementing Decision No. 2003 / QD-UBND dated November 11, 2020 of the Provincial People's Committee on promulgating the environmental protection regulations of Binh Son-Ninh Chu tourist area in Ninh Thuan province. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism suggested the units well implement the following requirements and tasks:
To tourist accommodation establishments in Binh Son-Ninh Chu area:
1.1. Strictly implementing Article 5 of the environmental protection regulations of Binh Son-Ninh Chu tourist area with the following contents:
- Listing the environmental protection regulations at tourist accommodation establishments so that tourists and the staff can know and comply; guide and regularly remind visitors and the staff to comply with the environmental protection regulations.
- There are the staff who clean the environment and collect waste at accommodation establishments and at other public areas assigned to manage by local authorities; transfer waste after being collected to Nam Thanh Ninh Thuan Construction - Trading and Production Co., Ltd for transportation and treatment.
- There are the staff who monitor and manage the protection of the tourist environment in accordance with the type and class of tourist accommodation establishments as prescribed by the regulations.
- Putting trash cans at convenient places for tourists to throw trash into them.
- Constructing public toilets at tourist accommodation establishments to serve tourists; toilets should have clear signs in Vietnamese and English (with the English abbreviation: WC).
- All the wastewater generated at the facility must be collected and treated to meet environmental standards before being used to water the plants and discharged into the area's general drainage system. It is strictly forbidden to discharge untreated wastewater that meets environmental standards into the receiving environment.
- Implementing the management of solid waste and hazardous waste in accordance with the provisions of the Government's Decree No. 38/2015 / ND-CP dated April 24, 2015 on waste and scrap management; Circular No. 36/2015 / TT-BTNMT dated June 30, 2015 of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment on hazardous waste management.
- Contributing resources for environmental protection activities at tourist areas.
- Coordinating with local authorities and socio-political organizations to periodically carry out cleaning the environment and collect waste at Binh Son-Ninh Chu beach.
- Strictly complying with environmental protection requirements in environmental impact assessment reports and other environmental documents approved and certified by competent authorities.
- When detecting environmental violations, promptly report them to the local authorities and relevant authorities for inspection and handling.
- Replacing the use of plastic bags, non-biodegradable plastic products to biodegradable plastic bags or other environmentally friendly alternative materials.
- Complying with other relevant regulations of the law on environmental protection.
1.2. Propagating for tourists to know and comply with Article 6 of the Regulation on "Responsibility to protect the environment of tourists and people coming to visit, play and entertain at the tourist area", including the contents are as follows:
- Complying with the environmental protection regulations of the tourist area and follow the instructions of the tour operator, tourist accommodation establishment and tourism authority.
- Do not organize food, drink, and waste disposal on the beach and at other public areas in the resort.
- Domestic waste generated when sightseeing, entertaining, relaxing and swimming must be collected and disposed of at the prescribed place. Absolutely do not dispose of waste at public areas and into swimming areas.
- Do not cut down trees, break branches or commit other acts to destroy trees, vegetation cover, or flower gardens in the resort.
- Participating in environmental protection movements launched by state management agencies and socio-political organizations; mobilizing everyone to comply with the environmental protection regulations; using biodegradable and environment-friendly products.
- Do not bring toxic chemicals, explosives, flammable substances, stinking substances that pollute to tourists areas.
- When detecting environmental violations, promptly report them to local authorities and relevant authorities for handling.
- Comply with other relevant regulations of the law on environmental protection.
2. For tour opertators to strictly comply with Article 10 of the Regulation, including the following contents:
- Complying and guiding visitors to comply with environmental protection regulations of tourist areas; actively participating in environmental protection movements launched by state management agencies and socio-political organizations.
- Integrating relevant contents of environmental protection and environmental protection responsibilities of tourists into tourist guide documents; notifying, reminding and instructing tourists to comply with the environmental protection regulations at tourist areas.
- Equipping with knowledge about environmental protection for tour guides.
- Contributing resources for environmental protection activities at tourist areas.
- Complying with the requirements of environmental protection when building tourism programs, do not organize types of tourism that harm the environment.
- Complying with other regulations of the law on environmental protection.
3. For the business units that drive tourists to strictly comply with Article 11 of the Regulation, including the following contents:
- Guiding and reminding tourists to strictly comply with the environmental protection regulations of the tourist areas and do not dispose of waste on the way.
- Collecting all the garbage generated on tourist transport vehicles and disposing of them at the prescribed areas.
- Using tourist transport vehicles must meet regulatory environmental protection requirements.
- Do not transport explosives, flammable substances, radioactive substances. For products with unpleasant odors, which are allowed to transport before being put on the means of transport, they must be wrapped carefully, not to spread odors to the outside, not to drop on the means of transport and on the way.
- Complying with the environmental protection regulations at the gathering areas of means of transportation and the stops at the tourist area.
- Contributing resources for environmental protection activities at tourist areas.
- Complying with other relevant regulations of the law on environmental protection.
