On October 3, 2021, Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 555/QD-UBND approving the tourism development project of Ninh Thuan province from 2021 to 2025, with a vision to 2030.
Accordingly, the objective is to develop tourism comprehensively, basically becoming a spearhead economic sector, creating a driving force to promote socio-economic development of the province; be professional; material and technical infrastructure for tourism is relatively synchronous and modern; diversify and improve the quality of tourism services; building tourism products with specific, highly competitive and branded characteristics, developing tourism culture in Ninh Thuan province with specific, civilized, friendly and safe factors associated with preserving traditional culture and biodiversity. Forming a national tourist area; planning areas for development of high-quality tourism and popular tourism. Towards the formation of large-scale, high-class, unique tourist resorts with the best service quality and high competitiveness. Strengthen links and connections with national and local tourist routes in the region. To build Ninh Thuan into an essential destination in the central coastal tourism chain; strive to attract tourists to increase 7-8%/year. Making tourism a spearhead industry in Ninh Thuan's economy; Affirming and emphasizing the brand and image of Ninh Thuan in Vietnam tourism; Providing possible tourism development orientations, comprehensive and unique resource exploitation orientations; supplementing new and attractive tourism products for Ninh Thuan; To build Ninh Thuan into an attractive destination in the tourism chain of the whole country, especially in the Central Coast region.
Striving to 2025, Ninh Thuan will welcome 3,500,000 visitors, including 455,000 international visitors. By 2030, to welcome 6,000,000 visitors, including 900,000 international visitors; Total revenue from tourists (current price): By 2025, it will reach 2,900 billion VND, by 2030, it will reach 5,900 billion VND.
According to the scheme, the development orientation of tourism products follows 3 product groups:
Group of 4 unique products: Sea experience resort tourism; cultural tourism (especially Cham cultural heritage); High-tech agriculture; Ecotourism associated with Nui Chua National Park.
Group 4 novel products: Exploration and entertainment sand - salt; semi-wild hunting; rail travel experience; nursing and health care.
Group of 4 complementary products: Community tourism; entertainment and cuisine; visit renewable energy production; travel business.
Orientation of specific tourism products in phases:
From 2021 - 2025: Focus on developing products suitable for domestic and nearby markets - these are the products being exploited by Ninh Thuan. Diversifying existing products and adding new products that can be completed quickly, such as Clean Agriculture Festivals, Chapi music, Ninh Thuan sand discovery products; Pillar products: Sea experience resort tourism; High-tech agricultural Cham cultural heritage tourism.
The period 2025 - 2030: It is a breakthrough development period, creating a tourism brand, promoting the distinctive features of Ninh Thuan; Exploit new products that have been added in the previous stage: Discovery and Festival products. Fully developed four specific products, four novel products, and four complementary products of Ninh Thuan tourism; The main products: resort tourism to experience the sea, tourism to explore the theme of sand - salt - typical semi-desert climate, agricultural tourism.
