After 2 years of "hibernation" due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this summer, Ninh Thuan tourism promises to "explode" in terms of visitor quantity. At hotels and resorts, the occupancy rate on the occasion of April 30 and May 1, 2022, has almost reached 90-100%. Notably, the number of visitors will continue to increase during the peak season in the summer of 2022.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, since our country fully opened tourism, the number of visitors to the province has increased sharply. In the first four months of the year, the province welcomed more than 790,600 visitors, reaching 41.4% of the 2022 plan. Businesses ranging from travel to transportation, accommodation, resort, dining, amusement, entertainment, shopping... constantly had new programs, new tourism products in line with tourism trends after the pandemic such as: green tourism, community tourism, culture, health care resort tourism... to serve visitors. In addition, a number of tourism business units have paid attention to invest, renew many attractions, put them into operation, and build many sightseeing tours, contributing to diversify tourism types, create spillover effects and promote tourism's image. There were a lot of quite bustling service destinations such as Vinh Hy Bay, Hang Rai Beach, vineyards, sheep fields, Po Klong Garai Tower, Bau Truc Pottery Village, My Nghiep Brocade Weaving Village, My Nghiep Lotus Village, Nam Hoa Vien Farmstay, Hon Thien Mural Village, Nui Chua Community Tourism... with many interesting experiences offered to visitors. This is the momentum for Vietnam tourism in general, and Ninh Thuan tourism in particular, to continue to strongly recover the domestic market in the "golden season" of summer 2022 and welcome the influx of international visitors when the peak season arrives.
It is forecasted that this year's summer visitor quantity will continue to increase sharply. To meet the increasing number of visitors, the Provincial People's Committee has also issued a plan to implement solutions to promote and welcome visitors in the summer and in the coming time. Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches and localities to focus on best preparing to welcome guests in the summer tourism season; develop specific plans, pay attention to every small detail with the goal of attracting and welcoming visitors thoughtfully and safely, improving the efficiency of exploiting existing attractions. At the same time, it needs to build more tourism products from cultural and sports events combined with good promotion to attract visitors and create a playground to keep visitors in the province longer. In addition, the province is also restarting the contents of the tourism association agreement signed between the provinces and cities in the region, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi City, the Central Highland provinces, the Southeast provinces... that makes a "push" to promote and connect tours and routes to bring visitors to Ninh Thuan. Moreover, it is requested to continue to implement the directing documents of the Government, the Ministry of Health, and the National Administration of Tourism on the implementation of measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic, checking the minimum qualified accommodation facilities in terms of technical facilities and services serving visitors to ensure Ninh Thuan is a safe and attractive destination. Besides, paying attention to support businesses to restore tourism activities, create new, rich, unique and attractive tourism products with high quality and reasonable prices to attract more and more visitors. Simultaneously, developing a Resolution stipulating a number of policies to support the development of Ninh Thuan tourism into a spearhead economic sector in the 2021-2025 period, with a vision to 2030; Plan on training and fostering tourism human resources in Ninh Thuan province in the period of 2022-2025; Reviewing, evaluating and organizing the training and retraining courses for the tourism workforce, aiming to increase the quality of tourism labor, and supplementing the missing force...
Businesses, accommodation establishments and travel agencies in the province have focused on preparing to re-invest, upgrade facilities, technical equipment, build, renew and perfect tourism products, recruiting, and attracting human resources. At the same time, they need to build promotions, discounting rooms and food services for customers; promote propaganda on the plan to reopen tourism activities to ensure safety and efficiency, in accordance with regulations on prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic.
