In the first 6 months of the year, the total number of visitors and resorts in the province was estimated to reach 1.71 million, an increase of 19% over the same period in 2022, reaching 63.3% of the plan. Of which, international visitors are estimated to reach 20,000, an increase of over 300% over the same period, reaching 100% of the plan; Domestic visitors are estimated to reach 1.69 million visitors. Social income from tourism activities reached about 1,360 billion VND.

In the first 6 months of 2023, tourism demand to Ninh Thuan increases during holidays and summer vacations. Especially in June 2023, Ninh Thuan will hold a ceremony to welcome UNESCO's recognition of "The art of Cham pottery making on the List of intangible cultural heritage in need of urgent protection" and the Grape - Wine Festival takes place from June 13 to 18, 2023. This is a major cultural, sports and tourism event of the province. Many activities took place in a number of districts and cities in the province, attracting a large number of visitors and tourists, contributing to the restaurant's operating revenue in the first 6 months of the year increasing by 24.33%; Accommodation increases 2.8 times over the same period in 2022. Travel tourism revenue increased by 328.3%. Other service revenue is estimated at 1,561.1 billion VND, accounting for 8.34% and increasing by 25.6%...
To achieve the above results, the province has continued to promote restructuring of the tourism industry towards professionalism, modernity, quality and sustainability. Focus on calling on economic sectors, encouraging businesses to develop and renew diverse and unique types and services. At the same time, associated with promoting heritage values and national cultural identity such as beach resort tourism; historical and cultural tourism; ecotourism; agricultural and rural tourism... has local characteristics and is highly competitive in attracting domestic and foreign tourists. The province's tourism industry has also actively implemented the application of information technology and digital transformation in tourism development activities according to the general plan of the entire province such as: building a digital tourism information system, free wifi and kiosk systems at some main tourist areas and destinations, and a virtual tour guide system to support tourists; transport capacity to key tourist areas of the province has been enhanced and technical facilities have been enhanced, especially tourist accommodation facilities have been invested quite well, meet the needs of relaxation and accommodation for domestic and foreign tourists.
As of June 2023, in the province, there are 57 tourism projects that have been granted investment policy decisions and valid investment registration certificates by the Provincial People's Committee, with a total registered capital of 52,514.2 billion VND. Of these, 25 projects have been completed and put into operation with a total registered capital of 3,974.5 billion VND, accounting for 44% of the projects and 32 unfinished projects, accounting for 56%, including 22 key tourism projects of the province. Up to now, the province has 205 tourist accommodation establishments and 4,529 rooms. Tourism businesses in the province invest and upgrade many tourist spots and resorts to create spillover power and promote the image of Ninh Thuan tourism, diversify tourism products, making the tour to Ninh Thuan more interesting and experiential. Natural landscape, environment, political security, social order and safety are always maintained, creating a favorable environment for tourism development. A number of new tourist attractions have been formed, contributing to attracting a large number of tourists inside and outside the province.
Strive to finish early
To complete the goal of welcoming 2.7 million visitors in 2023, the Provincial People's Committee is focusing on directing departments, branches and localities to strengthen communication to raise awareness at all levels, sectors and society as a whole on developing tourism into a key economic sector associated with environmental protection. Sectors and localities continue to effectively implement Resolution No. 04-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on developing Ninh Thuan tourism to become a key economic sector in the period 2021-2025 and vision to 2030. Strengthen inspection and supervision of tourism business management activities in the province; focus on removing and resolving difficulties and problems of tourism businesses to ensure timeliness, rigor, efficiency and compliance with regulations. Implement digital transformation in tourism propaganda, advertising and promotion to focus on expanding the tourism market. Promote inviting activities and create the most favorable conditions for attracting investment in tourism development; socio-economic development projects with tourism development according to planning, ensuring the environment, synchronization, modernity, long-term, maximizing potential, and local advantages in natural factors, national culture and unique strengths.

To do that, in addition to diversifying and improving the quality of the province's tourism services, clearly plan areas for high-quality tourism development and popular tourism. Aiming to form large-scale, unique type tourist areas with the best service quality and high competitiveness. Strengthen links and connections with national and local tourist routes in the region. Building Ninh Thuan to become an important destination in the Central Coast tourism chain; strive to attract tourists by 7-8%/year, soon turning tourism into a key economic sector.
