The Vietnamese local promotion program in the Netherlands - Germany was chaired by the Department for Local Diplomacy Facilitation - Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vietnam Embassy to the Netherlands, Vietnam Consulate General in Frankfurt in coordination with People's Committees of Ninh Thuan, Hoa Binh, Dak Nong and Phu Yen provinces.
On the morning of June 21, 2024 (local time), Provincial Delegations worked with Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) - Federal Republic of Germany. Welcoming and working with the delegations was Mr. Johannes Richter, Director of International Sales for India and Asia markets, IHK. Also attending the meeting were Mr. Luu Xuan Dong, Consul General of Vietnam in Frankfurt; Ms. Tran Thi Thu Thin, Deputy Director of Department for Local Diplomacy Facilitation - Ministry of Foreign Affairs and provincial delegations.
From Ninh Thuan province's side, attending the working session were comrades: Nguyen Long Bien, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; Tran Minh Luc, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Council and representatives of leaders of departments and localities.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of Ninh Thuan People's Committee Nguyen Long Bien said that Ninh Thuan is a South Central coastal province, with a 105 km long coastline, with many outstanding and distinct advantages, with a territorial sea of over 18,000 km2, located in 18 upwelling water areas in the world and unique in Vietnam, has the highest wind speed in the country (average 7.5 m/s), number of hours of sunshine highest average in the country (about 2,800 hours/year), which is a favorable condition for the development of renewable energy, marine economy, tourism, high-tech agriculture, aquaculture, seafood exploitation, and manufacturing. Large-scale industrial salt, deep-water ports, coastal industry development, logistics, ... Up to now, Ninh Thuan province has attracted investment in 57 power source projects (solar, wind, hydroelectric) with a total capacity 3,750MW; Electricity output in 2023 reached nearly 8 billion kWh. According to Power Development Plan VIII, by 2030 Ninh Thuan is expected to develop an additional 9,223MW of electricity, including a number of key projects, creating development motivation for the province such as LNG Ca Na - 1,500MW, Pumped-storage hydroelectricity - 2,400MW, land-based and near-shore wind power of 554MW,... For offshore wind power, the Plan determines that by 2030 the whole country will develop 6,000MW, with the South Central region alone developing about 2,000MW.

With the goal of strengthening cooperation and attracting investment in fields such as energy, renewable energy, high-quality tourism, processing industry, high-tech agriculture, and high quality human resource training, green growth sector, adapting to climate change; especially reducing waste and increasing forestry finance through the commercial transfer of forest carbon credits, contributing to the livelihoods of forest owners, local people, and environmental protection, Vice Chairman of Ninh Thuan People's Committee Nguyen Long Bien respectfully invited IHK Board of Directors, businesses and investors in Germany to visit and work with Ninh Thuan province to meet, exchange and learn more specific information and discuss solutions to promote potential and strengths of mutual interest in the coming time. Besides, Ninh Thuan province also committed to creating the most favorable conditions for German investors and businesses in the process of researching, surveying, connecting investments and enjoying the highest levels of investment incentives within the scope of the Vietnamese State regulations. At the same time, Mr. Nguyen Long Bien requested Consulate General of Vietnam in Frankfurt to pay attention to support and act as a bridge to promote the image, potential, and advantages of Ninh Thuan province to German investors and businesses.

At the meeting, Mr. Johannes Richter, Director of International Sales for India and Asia markets, IHK said that currently IHK has about 104,000 members, including 22,000 companies with international business activities, 250 Vietnam companies are doing business in Frankfurt. This is the area with the largest business community in Germany. Frankfurt is the financial capital of Germany and one of Europe's major banking and financial centers. The Frankfurt stock exchange is the largest in Germany and is among the most important financial centers in the world. At the same time, Mr. Johannes Richter emphasized that we are very impressed with Vietnam's economic development, including the localities participating in today's meeting, especially Ninh Thuan with new fields such as energy, renewable energy, aiming to reduce emissions and increasing forestry financing through the commercial transfer of forest carbon credits. In the coming time, as a focal point, IHK will act as a bridge to introduce, promote, and promote exchange and investment between the two sides.
